Helix Labs has closed a $320 million Series C led by NorthStar Capital, valuing the AI-for-biology company at $1.9 billion. The round will fund manufacturing and expanded clinical work across its 18 active drug programs.
Founder Marcus Chen said the capital lets Helix move from computational design to real-world validation. "Generative models gave us thousands of candidate molecules. Now we prove them in the clinic," he said.
The raise is one of the largest of the year for applied AI in life sciences, underscoring investor appetite for companies translating foundation models into scientific outcomes.
