Editorial Standards
How we hold the line
Intelligence is only as good as the discipline behind it. These are the standards every entity, connection and claim in CompGenome is held to.
Sourcing
Every material claim on a CompGenome is tied to a source with a retrieval date. We prioritise primary sources — company filings, official announcements, peer-reviewed research and regulatory disclosures — over secondary reporting.
- Primary sources are marked and preferred over aggregators.
- Each source records the URL and the date it was retrieved.
- Unsourced claims are flagged and never published as verified.
Verification workflow
Entities move through a defined workflow: unverified → pending → verified. Editorial state moves draft → review → approved → published. Nothing reaches the public profile until it has cleared review.
Corrections
When a fact changes or an error is found, we update the record and preserve the prior version in the entity's history. The audit trail is part of the product, not a footnote to it.
Independence
Coverage is not for sale. Verification status and innovation scores are derived from evidence in the graph, never from commercial relationships.
